This region of the Housatonic is a catch and release zone so don't keep the fish you catch. Because of this, the action is quite good for the fun. Legal size fish from the stream are fine for consumption. The same is true for lakes and ponds in this region. Licenses are immediately available at the state Fish and Game web site. HUNTING: Oak n'Spruce lodge of years past was a popular hunter accommodation in the Berkshires. With proper hunting licenses hunting is allowed within the designated seasons established by the Fish and Game division of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
